A Donation of $108,000 to Support Women Victims of Domestic Violence

Solidarité | RCGT

To support shelters for women who are victims of domestic violence, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton donated $108,000 to selected organizations in the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Edmundston regions.

Nine shelters benefited from this generous contribution and each received a total of $12,000. The amounts allocated will be used to create funds for purchasing emergency kits for women and their children who are starting new lives after fleeing a violent situation. These kits include essential items such as clothing, personal care products, bedding, coats, supplies for babies, etc.

With the support of a network of local ambassadors, a dedicated working committee made up of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton partners acting as spokespersons and collaborators worked on the deployment of this large-scale project. Thanks to the valued collaboration of the selected shelters and their key stakeholders, the donations were made simultaneously and in person at the locations across the territory.

This initiative demonstrates Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s commitment to the communities it serves and its desire to make a difference in the lives of women who are victims of domestic violence by offering them practical resources to help them rebuild their lives.
