Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Celebrating diversity, promoting equity and practicing inclusion
At Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, we are proud to offer an environment that enables each individual to develop professionally and personally. Basically, to really live the difference of happinness at work. The workplace must be a place where people feel accepted for who they really are, whether it’s a question of ethnic origin, skin color, Aboriginal or immigrant status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, neurodiversity or any other element of diversity. It is by recognizing the invaluable contribution of each individual to our collective success, and by emphasizing the uniqueness of each human being, that we truly give everyone a voice.
A committee for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
With this in mind, a committee responsible for DEI has been set up, under the responsibility of Christine Regimbal, a partner in our firm since 2002. To ensure the committee’s inclusiveness, we formed it from members representing various professional sectors, hierarchical levels, and ethnic and cultural communities. Each member is committed to the same mission:
- Embody inclusive values
- Promote DEI best practices
- Foster inclusive leadership
- Advance our firm in the field of DEI through innovation
- Promote said values with our people
The committee is therefore working to implement DEI best practices and raise employee awareness of these issues, among other things by organizing webinars and developing training and policies aimed at raising awareness of these issues.
On the right track
Over the past few years, we have made significant strides in diversity, equity and inclusion, particularly with regard to gender parity in leadership positions. Nearly 30% of our partners are women, and every year the representation of women among our new partners increases. In 2002, out of 19 partner nominations, only one was a woman, while in 2024, 10 out of 19 were women.
DEI to propel local companies forward
As a professional services firm, our mission is to propel our talents, our clients and our communities through the power of our advice. The values of diversity, equity and inclusion are among the key drivers of this propulsion! It’s because we conjugate the verb “propel” by acting in favor of our talents every day that we’ve been named one of Montreal’s Best Employers 2024.
