WeCook Meals secures a $40M strategic equity investment from Claridge Food Group.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton (“RCGT”) is pleased to have co-advised WeCook Meals. (“WeCook”) in securing Claridge Food Group as a long-term strategic equity investor.

Founded in 2013, Montreal-based WeCook has established itself as the leading provider of direct-to-consumer ready-to-eat meals solutions in Canada, a highly attractive segment which has witnessed material disruption and growth. The company is singularly focused on offering consumers a wider selection of healthy, tasty, and convenient meals and snacks at affordable prices. This uncompromising product focus, coupled with its highly analytical and disciplined digital marketing strategy, has allowed WeCook to profitably grow and materially scale its operations, currently delivering more than 4 million meals a year throughout Ontario and Quebec.

The strategic partnership with Claridge Food Group (an investment vehicle created by Claridge Inc. with the participation of Investissement Québec, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, and Desjardins Capital) will provide WeCook with the additional capital and industry expertise to strengthen its position as the leading ready-to-eat delivery company in Quebec and Ontario and accelerate its growth across Canada.
